Le Grand Pré ("large meadow") is a traditional chalet in the Vaudagne area of les Houches, set in huge grounds amongst woods with wonderful views. Originally built in Grenoble over 200 years ago, it was reconstructed in Vaudagne in the 1960s and was owned by the renowned French alpinist, Marc Batard, famous for his record breaking speed ascent of Everest without oxygen in 1988. Packed with history and charm, the chalet has recently been restored and also includes a habitable mazot plus constructible land (2792 m²)...
